The Metamorphosis Small Group Guide is a seven-session curriculum built around that kind of conversation. Drawing on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, it walks teens and young adults through a question at the heart of the Christian life: What does it look like to let God change you from the inside out?
This is not a script. It’s a conversation starter, and every session follows the same easy-to-prepare format:
- Big Idea: the one concept the whole session revolves around
- Things You Will Need: a simple prep list, so nothing catches you off guard
- Ice Breaker: games and challenges that loosen up the room and set up the discussion
- Teaching Time: Scripture-based discussion with ASK and SAY cues, with students reading from their own Bibles
- Group Leader Sharing Time: prompts to help you model the honesty you’re asking of your students
- Small-group breakouts, a wrap-up, and a closing prayer

Along the way, your group will tackle the things teens actually carry: shame, grief, failure, and the fear of what others think. The guide also includes printable Healing Cards and an optional outreach activity that puts the final session into practice.
Whether you’re a youth pastor, a volunteer, or a parent opening your home on Wednesday nights, you don’t need a seminary degree to lead this study. You just need to be willing to be real.
