I’m Chad Reisig, the Lead Pastor of East Salem Church in Oregon, where I’ve served for the past six years. I have more than 18 years of ministry experience, and before I moved into full-time pastoral ministry I spent more than 16 years in business management.
I live in Oregon with my wife, Michelle, and we have two adult children. We love hiking, kayaking, and generally being out on the lake in the summer.
I host The Imperfect Pastor Podcast, and the name is on purpose. Pastors tend to be very hard on themselves when they don’t measure up to impossible standards, whether they set them for themselves or someone else did. The name is a reminder that every pastor, even the ones who look super polished, is imperfect. And that is exactly who Jesus chooses to do His ministry through.
Along the way I’ve written a few things. I developed a teen conference for Impact 4 Youth Ministries that grew into a book, Metamorphosis: Transformed from the Inside-Out, and a companion Metamorphosis Small Group Guide. I’ve written more than a thousand short devotionals in The Daily Dose. And my newest book, The Forgotten Third, is about the member of the Godhead most of us quietly sideline, the Holy Spirit, and how to finally get properly introduced.
I’m also getting ready to launch Next Pasture Leadership, where I’ll coach pastors and ministry leaders who want to take the next step. My years in both the church and the business world are part of what I bring to that work.
