Teens are constantly bombarded by messages that tell them who they should be, what they should look like, and how they must earn acceptance and success. As they move through life, they easily get distracted by the shiny objects of wealth and status that the world shows them they need to feel good about themselves.
As a Youth Leader, you most likely have seen the struggles our teens go through to find meaning, purpose, acceptance, and love in their lives. They yearn for a life fulfilled, but only find emptiness in their relationships and possessions. Often times this leads them to try more extreme measures to experience some sort of fulfillment; leading to even more pain and rejection.
However, Jesus tells us a different story…
It’s not the things they do or the cool stuff they own. It’s about allowing the Holy Spirit to change them into a new person, a new creation; to transform them into the amazing person that He created them to be. Jesus says, to truly experience life, they have to be born again.
I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3)
Based on John 3:1-3, Metamorphosis 2012 will show teens what it means to be transformed by the power of God; to be changed through the process of metamorphosis.
n. pl. met·a·mor·pho·ses
A marked change in appearance, character, condition, or function. Also called transformation
Through exciting worship, hard hitting drama, scripture-inspired messages, relatable video and media, and an outreach experience, your teens will get pumped up by the amazing power of God. They will learn what it means to live in a relationship with Christ and to be born again. They will begin to not only seek, but experience the Kingdom of God in their lives.
Since teens are relational creatures, we will empower them during the conference with the gospel message, and give them the tools and opportunity to immediately begin reaching out to their friends so that they can also experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Join us in starting a movement that will transform the lives of teens in the Pacific Northwest. Let’s start the process of metamorphosis!
